Vicki Murfin, Potluck Coordinator, said that she would like to coordinate events such as tabling, etc. Dan made the motion that Vicki be the Events Coordinator and Barbara seconded. Vote was affirmative. She will check with the Cocoa Beach Library about reserving the large meeting room and then contact Chas Chido as to when he can do his vegetarian cooking demonstration. Vicki said that she would like to have some event for the March 20th Great American Meat Out. Eric will take over the responsibility of the potlucks.
Spence Guerin of Progress Alliance of Brevard, which is a peace group protesting the war, is scheduling an event for February and wants us to have a table there. It will be held in South Brevard.
Dan submitted a template which he has developed to use for letterhead and envelopes for the organization’s stationary. Approval was granted.
The Operating Agreement was reviewed and different redlined areas were discussed and agreed upon. The four levels of memberships were finalized. They are: Economy, $10, for students, seniors and others; Individual, $20; Family, $30, for all members of a family living under the same roof; and Supporting $50 or more. Memberships renew each year in January.
Dan requested that at our next meeting we discuss a game plan for the new year and set goals as to what we want to accomplish.
The next scheduled meeting of the core group will be February 4, at the Eau Gallie Library at 7:30 p.m. The meeting place has been changed to accommodate some of the people from South Brevard so that they can attend. Rose Forbes will reserve the room at the Library.

Maharaja
Bad news about Maharaja, the restaurant has closed. Hate to hear about a vegetarian restaurant that didn't make it. I understand that they still do catering.
wscf tv 31
Susie and Eric were interview by Patricia Lewis of "Space Coast Kids" on WSCF TV channel 31. This is not currently a cable station, so get your rabbit ears out and try to pick it up (south Brevard). The show airs at 9:30 AM; and 1:30, 5:30 and 9:30 PM. It runs all week long starting Tuesday.
It was a six minute segment about vegetarianism and kids. Pat called me about the show because of our press release.
