Summer is here and so is the fresh sweet produce of the season. 
This week in the cooler we have red and orange watermelons, peaches,
strawberries, blueberries, cherries & golden kiwi. 
The Romaine and Red Leaf Lettuce are crisp and beautiful, as is the celery. 
Fresh Daikon Radish makes beautiful noodles for veggie pasta salads &
raw spaghetti dishes.   Portabello mushrooms make a fabulous "burger"
enjoy them marinated raw, sauteed or grilled.
Friday Night Fun
This Friday night join us for dinner and entertainment.
The menu will be Spaghetti and "meat" balls ( nut meat that is)
with marinara sauce, marinated vegetables and a fresh green salad
all for just $13.95
Dinner is served from 6pm to 8 pm and we hang around til about 10. 
This Friday night, Edward Mercier will be here to entertain you while you
enjoy your meal.      Edward plays the acoustic guitar and sings beautifully. 
We enjoyed his music so much when he joined us the first time
we're thrilled that he's agreed to return.   Any requests?

We'll have veggie dogs and veggie burgers on the grill plus pot luck items.


Come and join like-minded individuals and enjoy a beautiful day at the park filled with great company and food.


Bring your best vegan salads and desserts for this outdoor potluck.

We are returning to Cara Mia in Cocoa Village for our April 2009 Vegan Dining Out.  This is a lovely restaurant in a lovely setting near the Indian River with great food and excellent service.  We have 3 entrée choices so be sure to pick one when you make your reservation.  I hope to see you there!

 

When:  April 18, 2009 at 6pm

 

Where:  Cara Mia Riverside Italian Restaurant, 11 Riverside Drive, Cocoa Village

 

Menu:  All meals include salad with vinaigrette dressing and bread.  Please select an entrée - - -

#1.  Linguine with artichoke hearts and capers in an olive oil and spice sauce.

#2.  Red & Green roasted peppers, sweet onions, and mushrooms served over skillet linguine (lightly stir fried).

#3.  Spaghetti with marinara sauce

 

Price:  $12.95.  This does NOT include tax, tip or any beverage.  You will be paying the restaurant so credit cards are OK.

Please remember that “no shows” will have to pay.  Please reserve by Wednesday, April 15.

URGENT: Take the Florida Today Poll to Support Our Libraries
This is an important poll...It could affect Healthy Planet of Brevard directly by cutting hours for our programs at any library in Brevard, not to mention books, and all other wonderful services. You have to do the poll today, Thursday.
 
Please show your support of Brevard County public libraries by voting YES in the online Florida Today poll. Go to: www.floridatoday.com/opinion and scroll down. You'll find the poll question at the bottom of the right hand side of the screen. The question asks: Should County Commissioners spare Brevard libraries from deep budget cuts? Click on "YES" and then click on "vote."
